Arrival in Kathmandu

The second day of the trip is easy, as you wish. But your trek guide will pick you up from your hotel after breakfast. The guide will tell you what to carry and other important information before the trek. Next, your guide will assist you in securing a permit. To apply, bring your passport, photos, and travel insurance. Your guide will fill out the permit form. Then, they will submit it to the right office once you have these essentials. With the paperwork out of the way, you will have time to gear up for the trek ahead. Now, it's time for shopping. If you want to explore Kathmandu's rich culture, a guide is available for an optional tour. Check your gear and equipment one final time. Prepare your bags for a trek in the coming days. Permit work and day tours are in Kathmandu

This day, after eating breakfast, you'll embark on the tourist bus on the prescribed route that will take you from Kathmandu to Pokhara. During the seven to eight-hour journey, you will witness the breathtaking scenery of the Nepalese countryside. The bus ride crosses a lush green landscape. You pass through picturesque villages, incredible waterfalls, and stepped agricultural fields. The trail, which follows the vital rivers Trishuli and Marsyangdi, makes this journey unique. As soon as you arrive in Pokhara, you can see the valley. It has a serene atmosphere and beautiful scenery. Pokhara offers a stunning view of some of Nepal's most renowned mountains, a truly captivating sight. The place would, therefore, act as your starting point for the Mardi Himal, Annapurna Base Camp, and Poon Hill treks. You will find a lot to do in the lakeside area once you settle yourself. You can also try some local food items while seeing the views of the mountains.

Trip from Kathmandu to Pokhara

On the fourth day, you will start your day after having breakfast. Then, you will go to Birethanti in the jeep. Birenthi will be the starting point of the Annapurna Base Camp trek. The drive will be short but beautiful. It offers views of lush greenery. After reaching Birethanti, you will start the trek. The trail starts on a broad, sandy track. It rises beside the Bhurungdi Khola. You will see the amazing terraced fields and rural life as you walk. The trail winds up the mountain. It gets steeper, but there are lovely villages along the way. In this way, you can observe many small settlements, and you can see the inhabitants’ way of life. After walking for a while, you must cross the suspension bridge at Tikhedhunga. Then the trial becomes more rigorous. You will walk on a set of stone steps. While walking, you can see thrilling views and a sense of accomplishment. Then you have to climb up for some hours. Towards the end, it will be Ulleri, a Magar village built on a slope of the hill. Once you get to the village, you can even have wonderful views of the other Himalayas. You will find these to be particularly beautiful at sunset. You will also spend the night here to catch the mountain feel and prepare for the next day's trek.

Drive from Pokhara to Birethanti and trek to Ulleri

Today’s walk is one of the most beautiful, going up through Ulleri to the lovely village of Ghorepani. You will begin your trek from Ulleri. Ulleri village is famous for its lush fields that slope down and its friendly people. You must climb slowly and steadily. While climbing, you can see the green vegetation and terraced crops. Then you have to walk through some narrow gorges in a rhododendron forest. While walking in the forest, you can see different species of birds and wildlife. You will find refreshing natural springs and some small, clear streams on the trail. Further on, there is more climbing. Some sections are steep. But breathtaking views await around every corner. If you are lucky, you will be able to see the neighbor's snow-covered mountains. After walking for several hours, you will reach Ghorepani. It is a simple village on a hill at the start of the mountains. This is a trekking village with wonderful opportunities to behold magnificent mountains. You will stay in comfy huts at Ghorepani Guesthouses. Tomorrow, you will start early for Poon Hill.

Trek from Ulleri to Ghorepani

Your day will commence before the sun rises. A one-hour trek from Ghorepani leads to Poon Hill. You must use stone-paved steps during their ascent. From your viewpoint at the top, you will enjoy stunning views of the Himalayas during sunrise. From a clear vantage point, you can watch how the peaks illuminate in gold and pink colors during sunrise. The path from here gives you a vivid view of silver snow-clad mountains in the Annapurna region. Witness awe-inspiring scenes, record them for recollection, and take full advantage of a peaceful atmosphere. You can get back to Ghorepani after a charming sunrise. Once started, you can complete the descent within thirty minutes regardless of difficulty level. Breakfast at your accommodation will give you energy before beginning the trek. You will embark on your trek route, leading to Deurali. The path is easy to follow. The path guides visitors through blooming rhododendron forests during the spring. While wheel trekking down this path, you may come across a variety of fauna, including leaf monkeys. The path will become more exciting because of the diverse activities along it. You will need several hours of hiking before reaching Deurali. Deurali exists as a compact settlement from which travelers can pause to view mountains while taking short breaks. The descent from Deurali takes you through thick woodland areas. The natural world will provide you with bird songs and leaf noises. You will find the trail both simple to follow and aesthetically pleasing. From this location, you can see farm terraces and mountains in the distance. Then you will reach Banthanti. At Banthanti, you can take a break to drink tea and grab a snack between walks. A dense forest extends across the path between Banthanti and Tadapani as the route rises and falls between these destinations. Your late afternoon arrival will find you at Tadapani. Tadapani offers visitors stunning views of Machhapuchhre Mountain and other surrounding peaks, all while residing in a charming village. After your journey, you should check into a tea house to relax before resting for the day.

Trek from Ghorepani to Poon Hill, then to Tadapani

After a mouthwatering breakfast in Tadapani, you will be heading to Chomrong. You will descend through the beautiful Rhododendron Forest. Here, you will get cool and fresh air. After walking for hours, you will cross the Kimrong River and proceed to Ghandruk. Ghandruk is a lovely village. It has typical local houses and welcoming people. The trail begins a gradual ascent to Chomrong from Ghandruk. On the way up, you can have a view of the mountain. These stunning peaks provide quite an atmosphere for your hike. After walking for an hour, you will reach Chomrong. After reaching Chomrong, you can see the magnificent Annapurna Mountain. In Chomrong, you can see many tourists, as it is a halting place for trekkers. Here, you will find the Gurung community. You can wear their dress and take some pictures. In Chomrong, a lovely teahouse will accommodate you. You will rest there before continuing your trek.

Hike from Tadapani to Chhomrong

Today is the day you will be walking the longest. Following a hefty breakfast in Chomrong, you will descend a paved staircase to the Chomrong Khola River. After an hour of walking, you will come across a suspension bridge. Then, you have to climb through green, cultivated slopes. After climbing for several hours, you will reach the tiny village of Sinuwa. After reaching Sinuwa village, you will get an excellent view of Mt. Fishtail and other surrounding hills. From Sinuwa, it will take a few hours to reach Khuldighar. Next, you will go down a small stone staircase into a forest of bamboo, rhododendron, and oak trees by the Modi River. This beautiful and quite large forest area is home to the beautiful, quiet town of Bamboo. From here, you have to follow the trail along the Modi Khola River through a forest. The walk becomes steeper until you reach Dovan. While walking in the forest, you can see different birds and animals. You will have spent several hours walking through the forest. Finally, you will reach Dovan. In Dovan, you will stay for tonight and prepare for further trekking.

Trek from Chomrong to Dovan

Today’s trail is from Dovan to Deurali. This day trail is a mix of a nature hike and some waterfalls. You will start with rhododendrons and bamboo trees. As you near the Himalayas, the terrain opens up. You can see the glacier river sparkling in the sun. You will start your hike from Dovan. Then, you have to descend up to Modi Khola. On the route, you will pass through a very steep gorge. After Modi Khola, the trail becomes steep and takes you through a drier forest to the magical Hinku Cave. After walking for hours, you will reach Hinku Cave. After the cave, the trail is less steep. While trekking, you can see an outstanding view. You can see the unobstructed view of the valley. At its bottom is a river. The tall, gray-black granite cliffs have thin waterfalls. After hiking for several hours, you will finally reach your final destination for this day. Deurali is an excellent place to have a view. Here, you will spend your night.

Trek from Dovan to Deurali

Today's trek is challenging but very rewarding. It leads you from Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp. Your journey will start with a gradual incline. While you are trekking, you will cross a riverbed with cliffs on both sides of the river and fresh scenery. The air gets thinner as you go higher. The thrill of the adventure grows, too. After walking for a few hours, you will get to the Machhapuchhre Base Camp. MBC offers an excellent view of the Himalayan giants and the magnificent Machhapuchhre. In MBC, you can rest for some hours and relax while admiring the view and taking some incredible shots. You will spend a few hours at MBC before proceeding with the journey toward Annapurna Base Camp. You can see that the area here widens and is not very overgrown. While trekking this part, tread carefully; this area has avalanches. Your guide will ensure safety every time you are in this particular area. In the Annapurna Base Camp, you will have the opportunity to have a beautiful view of the Annapurna Sanctuary. The ABC will provide you with the breathtaking 360-degree vistas of the Himalayas. After reaching ABC, you will have an awe-inspiring view and a joyful moment. You will never forget this moment. After congratulating yourself and enjoying the view, you will stay at the base camp.

Hike from Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp

You will start your day at Annapurna Base Camp. You will see a stunning sunrise. It will be over the Annapurna range and the sanctuary. On taking the view, you will start your descent towards Sinuwa. It is the same path as when you climb down, but climbing gives another perspective of the journey. The trail will take you through Machhapuchhre Base Camp, Deurali, Bamboo, and Khuldighar. On the descent, you can admire the beautiful mountains one last time. You will stroll through some of the most beautiful tracks of alpine valleys. On your trip, you will see small villages and brief shows of the rural Annapurna lifestyle. The descent is much easier on your legs than the climb, and the view is different. Returning to familiar trails and allowing your mind to wander will transform the experience. After arriving in Sinuwa, you will stay in the trekking lodge where you can rest. If you wish, you can relax or explore the village before bed. This day is a mix of review and reminiscence. You will move from the lofty alpine trails to lowland green trails.

Trek from Annapurna Base Camp to Sinuwa

This is the final day of the Mardi Himal Trek. You will trek from Sinuwa to Landruk. On the route, you can see beautiful vegetation and a calm setting. You will start your journey by descending from Sinuwa. After descending for hours, you will cross a suspension bridge. During trekking, you can have a view of the valley and vegetation covering the area. After crossing the suspension bridge, you have to climb to the town of Chomrong. From Chomrong, you have to walk to Jhinu Danda. Natural hot springs are the main tourist attraction of Jhinu Danda. Here, you can take small breaks and relax in the warm water, which will add a new lease on your body and mind. After having a little exploration at Jhinu Danda, you will start the trek. While trekking, you will pass through a lush forest. In the forest, you will hear the sound of birds and the noise that is coming from small waterfalls. Finally, after walking for several hours, you will be able to reach Landruk. While trekking, you will be in the middle of forests and waterfalls. Landruk is a silent Gurung village with many terrace fields and rich greenery around it. It will be a refreshing day to remember. Today you will have your night at Landruk.

Trek from Sinuwa to Landruk

Today you will trek from the beautiful village of Landruk to the peaceful Low Camp. During the trek, you will cross streams and forests. You will also pass some quiet villages with stunning views of the Himalayas. You will start your journey with a climb. On the trek, you will pass through peaceful villages and see towering pine and juniper trees. After a few hours of hiking, you will get to Forest Camp, a quieter location situated amidst the forest. In Forest Camp, the air is chilly. It is one of the best places to rest after hiking. Here you will have your meal and then relax for several hours. Now, you will hike through some of the most fascinating forests from Forest Camp. Moss and lichen cover the forest tree. While trekking inside the forest, you can see varieties of rhododendron. As you cross the forest, you start to see beautiful views of the peaks at a higher altitude. Finally, after several hours of trekking, you will reach Low Camp. This is just a sleeping place with only a few small lodges. Today, you will be at Low Camp.

Trek from Landruk to Low Camp

Today you start your trek from Low Camp to High Camp via Badal Danda. As you start your trek, you have to climb for one hour in a rhododendron forest. While trekking, the beauty of the forest will surprise you. After walking for several hours, you will cross the forest and reach Badal Danda. Once at Badal Danda, you get a clear view of a mountain range. Here you can rest for several hours, taking in a beautiful view of the surrounding landscape. From Badal Danda, you will start following the ridgeline. Here, you will find various types of landscape vegetation. On the left, you can see Modi Khola, and on the right, you will see Mardi Khola. When ascending, you can see the Himalayan Monal and other birds. Now, you have to climb to reach High Camp. After such a climb for hours, you will arrive at High Camp. As you get to High Camp, you can have a view of the Annapurna and Mardi Himal ranges. This mountain looks more beautiful in the morning and in the evening. High Camp will be your overnight stay and preparation for the next trek phase. When trekking, take time to enjoy the beauty of nature. Also, drink a lot of water.

Trek from Low Camp to High Camp

Begin the day early enough so you can see a beautiful sunrise over the magnificent Himalayas. You will make this moment one of the high points of your trekking adventure. Today you have to climb only, so take your time and climb properly. During trekking, you will hike through valleys of green vegetation. This trip will take five hours, depending on how fast you are moving along the trail. At times, the view is amazing, and the area is peaceful. It will keep your morale high. When you get to the Mardi Himal Base Camp, you will feel as if you have done everything. From the base camp, you can have a view of mountain ranges of enormous heights. Seeing these giants covered with snow will amaze you. At the base camp, just relax, freely gaze at the beauty, and take your pictures. After spending time at base camp, you will now descend back to Badal Danda. The descent is slightly easier, but you should be careful on the descents in the steep areas. On your way down, you can see the scenery change. You will feel like you're strolling among the clouds in Badal Danda. You will also spend this night at the same tea house in Badal Danda.

Hike from High Camp to Mardi Himal Base Camp and return to Badal Danda

Your day starts with a descent from Badal Danda. When trekking down, you can enjoy new views and the greenery of the lowland. You will trek in the Mardi Himal Trek, which will take you on a route that leads to the beautiful Siding Village. The trail will be easy. It will pass through a dense forest, meadows, and a few viewpoints. On the way, you can also see the subtropical vegetation and have glimpses of the countryside. After reaching Siding, you will have lunch. Siding is a quiet village. Its welcoming residents offer a chance to rest and reflect after your trek. After having lunch, you will be back to Pokhara in a jeep from Siding Village. When driving in this jeep, you will feel at ease. While driving, you can see the fragments of terraced fields, some houses, and curvy hills. After you arrive in Pokhara, the hotel of your choice will welcome you. Rest and rejuvenate yourself. If you have the energy to do some more activities, go boating in Phewa Lake. Have your dinner in Lakeside, go back to your hotel, and have a wonderful night's sleep.

Trek from Badal Danda to Siding and then drive to Pokhara

After breakfast, you will take a deluxe tourist bus to travel through the Prithvi Highway from Pokhara to Kathmandu. This road is approximately 205 kilometers long and usually takes 7–8 hours to complete, depending on traffic jams. Geographically, you will have the opportunity to see hills covered in vegetation, cultivated land with ridges and valleys, and rivers meandering through the landscape. Along the route, you can see different places and bustling activities. When you arrive in Kathmandu, you will attend a celebration dinner to mark the end of the Annapurna Base Camp trek to Poonhill via the Mardi Trek.
