Best Seasons to go to ABC

Travelers can visit the Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) trek period in two major seasons including spring between March and May and autumn from September to November. Every traveler can find pleasant weather conditions during these chosen seasons which enhances both comfort and security when trekking. During spring the paths become alive due to blooming rhododendron forests which create colorful scenery on top of the already stunning landscapes. Tourists enjoy comfortable climate conditions and transparency in the air which enables perfect views of the Annapurna mountain range. Autumn presents people with stable climate conditions along with fresh clear air during this season. Fresh air follows soon after the rains, making this the perfect time of the year. Whereas winter (December to February) is a good option for those who want to avoid the crowds. The combination of slippery trails and rain-affected visibility makes the monsoon season from June to August unfavorable for the trek. By picking the appropriate season, one can get the most out of his/her trek not only by improving but also by paying full attention to the eye-catching surroundings of nature and culture on the road. Plan your trip with us for proper guidance regarding when to travel.

Trek difficulty of ABC

A moderate-level trek defines Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) because this adventure lies between simple and difficult terms of challenge. The trek suits beginners and experienced hikers equally. The challenging aspect depends on your physical condition and past trekking experience including altitude adaptation.

The expedition requires fourteen days for completion. Different sections of the trails require climbing steep slopes combined with stone stairs and gentle elevation. You will face the most challenging segment when climbing uphill to reach Ulleri because you need to scale a thousand stone steps.

The location of ABC at 4,130 meters height requires proper acclimatization efforts because of its elevated altitude. Moving between points on the trek does not demand expertise in technical climbing. The combination of proper physical preparation and fundamental fitness levels and consistent movement allows most hikers to achieve their trek without serious problems. This hard work is fully rewarded by the stunning mountain scenery combined with the natural beauty of the landscape.
