Kathmandu City is surrounded by a valley and is also known as the heart of Nepal. Being popular among all of us, our journey has made it a starting junction. An early arrival in Kathmandu will let you explore the different cultural heritage sites, mostly those listed by UNESCO, and it is also the best place for nightlife in Nepal. 

Chitwan is also the main hub of our journey, a place of 500+ species lying under one area living together in their ecosystem. From species of butterflies, and grass to wildlife animals like one-horn rhinoceros, wild cats, tigers, leopards, and many more lie in the same place. Also, a famous place for a unique and local cultural identity, Chitwan itself and Chitwan National Park hold lots of beauty in it.

Best Season to go to Chitwan-Lumbini Tour

The best time to go for the Chitwan National Park safari and Lumbini tour is almost throughout the whole year. But, seeing the people's interest and wants we can see the Spring Season, the Autumn season, and somewhere the Monsoon Season are the most preferable ones.

Itinerary

Starting from Kathmandu, we will provide you with a free pick-up service at your preferred location or from the Airport. Then, you will be taken to the bus station where our journey will lead towards Chitwan. You will be provided with a light breakfast. On the way to Chitwan, leaving Kathmandu you will be enjoying the greenery everywhere going through the way covered by hills. You will have your lunch at Muglin and start your journey towards Chitwan. After reaching Chitwan, you will be directly taken to your guest house and provided with a room. After having a long trip on the bus you will have some rest. After having a rest for some time, we will have a nearby exploration of Tharu village which is near our homestay where we will see the unique local lifestyles of the Tharus. We can also enjoy the Tharu cultural dance which is held by locals whereupon interest, we can also join. We will stay overnight at the same guesthouse where dinner will be provided as you prefer.

Kathmandu to Chitwan

In the morning, you are ready with a day pack of gear after having a light breakfast. We will be starting our journey with a certified English-speaking wildlife guide. An additional guide will also be provided so that you won't miss any place to explore. Foods and meals needed on the way will be packed and shared among us. We will start our journey reaching destinations like jungle walks watching various wildlife and natural species, along with the canoeing trip at Rapti River. You will also visit the Elephant Breeding Center. One of the major highlights of this safari is exploring one-horned rhinoceros which is only seen in Nepal and nocturnal Royal Bengal Tigers which can be seen in the dense forest of Chitwan. Not only depends on wildlife, but Chitwan National Park is also a hub for water animals like crocodiles, pythons, and tortoises. Also, rhesus monkeys, leopards, wild cats, vivid-colored birds, and many other species can be spotted. We will have our lunch in an open park area which will be safe from animals. Continuing our journey getting into nature and especially the best place for bird lovers you will never miss anything. Enjoying boating or other adventurous activities we will explore everything that lies in Chitwan for approximately 8 hours covering the destination of a total of 15 to 20 km. After visiting the exploration of Chitwan National Park, we will return to our lodge where we will have our dinner and night. Note: If you don’t prefer to walk then, you can have an optional safari on jeep on your own.

Jungle Safari in Chitwan National Park

On the third day of our journey, we will have our breakfast and go for exploration around the nearby areas if we wish. After having a short roaming around the nearby places we will have our lunch and get ready to leave Chitwan. We will pack up and leave for Lumbini. All the hotel members will provide us with a warm farewell. We will reach Lumbini from Chitwan with a four-hour journey in a tourist coach where we will directly check in at the hotel where we will have some rest, dinner, and stay overnight.

Chitwan to Lumbini

Day four would take us to Lumbini for a one-day pilgrimage to various temples, monasteries, gompas, and places of spirituality. After a light breakfast, we will take the early morning visit to Maya Devi Temple, the birthplace of Lord Gautam Buddha. The guided visits will include other sacred sites of cultural heritage including the Ashoka Pillar, Sacred Garden, and Holy Pond. Several monasteries, such as Chinese, German, Nepalese, Indian, Korean, and many more, were constructed on the grounds of Lumbini. A wonderful day spent in Lumbini will reward the end of a day trip before the drive back to the hotel for the night.

Day in Lumbini

After having a day in Lumbini, we will have our breakfast and lunch in the hotel where we stay. We will be ready for Pokhara to have a fantastic journey toward the lowland region of Nepal. We will take a rest and have some snacks and a picturesque moment on the way from Lumbini to Pokhara. Upon enjoying the journey we will land in Pokhara where we will leave you in a preferred hotel and our journey will come to an end.
