Description

Chitwan National Park is one of Nepal's oldest and first national parks, located in Sauraha. There are different kinds of activities you must try. One of the activities is the Jungle Safari with Elephant Ride. With this activity, one can encounter different species of wildlife, animals, birds, and plants with a nearby view. You can explore the natural vegetation, lush forests, riverbanks, and wetlands present inside the Chitwan jungle.

Elephant riding is a fun activity but also safe as the elephants are well trained by the people. Those people are called as mahouts. They make sure the ride to be safe. As elephants walk across the dense forests, grasslands, you may start to witness wild animals, birds present in the jungle. Animals such as Sloth Beers, Bengal Tigers are rare to find, but you may spot them if you are at the perfect time when they are out. You can easily spot Musk deer, One-horned rhinos, monkeys, and reptiles. There will be different types of plants, including medicinal herbs, beautiful flowers.

To spot wildlife inside the jungle, you must visit during the ideal season. So, the perfect season for elephant riding is between October to March. The season is best fit to spot varieties of diversity present in the jungle because the skies are clear, and the weather is appropriate. whereas, in monsoon season, June to September, is inappropriate for elephant rides as there will be heavy rainfall and a high chance of flooded river. The trails inside the jungle may be sloppy, so it is better not to go for an elephant ride in the monsoon season.
