Winter (December to February) is the season when the trek can be done but the high altitudes are very cold and snowy making it more difficult. The monsoon season (June to August) brings heavy rains, which in turn make the paths much more dangerous and less beautiful. The trek is generally considered to be moderate to very difficult, requiring a good level of fitness to do it. From the moment you leave the airport entrance, the tours start. A Wandering Trails company representative will greet you politely as soon as you exit the airport. A staff member will welcome you, help you assess your luggage, and take you to the hotel in a beautiful valley. You can then check in to a hotel, and then, in your cozy room, you can relax and enjoy the stay. If you feel relaxed, you can visit the wandering office in the evening to learn about the trek route. Your guide will give you a brief description of the route. If you have any questions, you can ask your guide. After completing the session, return to the hotel, pack your bag, enjoy dinner, and have a deep sleep.
From the second day, you will start your journey. In the morning, we will drive you to reach Besisahar. While traveling, you can have panoramic sightseeing including green hills together with the Marsayangdi River and the extensive terraced fields. You will spend the night in Besisahar during this day.
Your third day of travel starts from Besisahar. The trail begins with forest walking which lets you enjoy fresh air. After walking for almost 5 hours in the forest, you will reach Chame. Chame will be the end of this day. This day you will stay in the teahouse.
Your day will begin with the sunlight. You must wake up early to witness the sunrise. You can enjoy your breakfast and coffee while admiring the scenery. After that, you'll begin your hike towards Pisang Valley. You'll follow the Marsyangdi River through dense bush. While hiking, you can enjoy a view of rolling hills, alpine pastures, and mountain peaks. On the way, you can observe a waterfall descending from the hill. During the hike, you will be able to see both Pisang Peak's northeast face and Annapurna II. Along the journey, you'll observe the classic Mani Wall. To go to Upper Pisang Valley, you have to cross bridges. Your overnight stay will be in Upper Pisang.
You have to wake up early morning to see the sunrise. After watching this outstanding view, you will eat your breakfast and get ready for the journey toward Manang. After 5–6 hours of hiking, you will reach Manang, one of the busiest and most lively villages along the trail. What first draws attention is the bustling main street of Manang, where teahouses, restaurants, and trekking supply stores are more in number.
During this day you will stop at Manang Village for body acclimatization before continuing your journey to higher altitudes. Manang village provides both energy recovery space and multiple opportunities to study historical landmarks and natural attractions around its surroundings. You can enjoy your breakfast while admiring breathtaking images of different peaks. After breakfast, you can choose to walk through the village to understand its essence more deeply. You can pray in complete silence in front of an ancient monastery. Gangapurna Glacier Lake is visible from a distance if you continue to trek from the monastery. Spending time here capturing images of the landscape is an option. After that, you will return to Manang village to appreciate its beauty. The village is home to a variety of cultures and traditions. You have the option to engage with the residents as well. The architecture of the house and how the inhabitants reside are visible. You will spend your night in your lodge where you will have a delightful dinner followed by a comfortable sleep. Additionally, you may consult with your guide regarding the subsequent expedition.
You had to depart Manang after two evenings there. On this day you have to reach Yak Kharka, which takes five to six hours. Your trip will begin with a slow ascent. You will pass Tenki Village. Trekking lets you see the yaks' cover as well as the breathtaking mountains. You will find the Marsyangdi Valley after some hours of walking. You would go toward Jarsang Khola Valley after leaving Marsyangdi village backward. Once at Jarsang Khola Valley, you will discover fresh interests. There will be alpine meadows on the tough ground. You will get to your last stop for this day after hours of trekking. Along the trail, you will see a range of birds and animals. Mountains surround Yak Kharka. Tonight you will stay and get ready for more journeys here. Yak Kharka's higher elevation results in a drop in temperature, so it's important to stay hydrated.
Today's walk is full of adventure and offers various geographical vistas. After breakfast, you will start your walk. After a two-hour climb, you will reach the majestic Himalayan range. You must climb slowly, then descend gradually to cross the river. You can explore various regions and enjoy the scenery. After crossing the river, climb to the Thorong Phedi. While climbing, you can enjoy breathtaking vistas of high snow-capped mountains and startling desert plateaus. Thorong Phedi is the destination after a hard day of walking. Thorong Phedi, which serves as a stopover for the Thorong La Pass, is a wonderful place to meet trekkers. You will spend the night in newly constructed and frequently used guesthouses.
This will be a long trip. You will journey through various altitudes; therefore, you must wake up early in the morning. This day of travel will present breathtaking landscapes that showcase Thorong along with Dhaulagiri and the Annapurna array and a desert-like territory. You should start your trek at 4 a.m. is important because of the heavy foot traffic on the trail. You will begin your stroll from Thorong Phedi by carrying a torchlight. You must climb upwards; after two to three hours of hiking, you will reach the high base camp. You will take a break and enjoy a cup of coffee with Tibetan bread. Then you'll begin your trek to the Thorong La pass. While trekking to Thorang La Pass, you must go through snow. Walking on the snow requires extra attention because the surface becomes slippery. After reaching the pass, look for prayer flags and take some shots. You can also have hot black tea with yak cheese. Now you must leave the Thorong La Pass and proceed to your final destination, Muktinath. It is time to descend. In addition, this could be the longest and steepest fall of the whole expedition. You will discover an entirely new terrain, including red mountains and a little village. After some period of descending, you will arrive at Muktinath. This holy site holds immense significance for both Buddhists and Hindus. After your visit, you will feel peaceful. Today you will stay in Muktinath.
Today, you'll drive through the Kaligandaki River Valley. The drive will be lovely, with a stunning perspective over the rest of the Mustang area. Along the way, you will make quick stops in Kagbeni, Jomsom, and Marpha. You can tour traditional villages, old stupas, apple orchards, whitewashed cottages, and more. You will travel in a shared tourist vehicle. If your group is large, we will provide a private car to ensure your comfort. You will descend through dense forests, landscapes, and breathtaking mountain views. It will take you about 6–7 hours to get to Tatopani. Here, you can bathe, rest, and relax in natural hot spring water. You'll spend the night at Tatopani to prepare for the upcoming hike.
Your daily trekking distance from today will extend from 6 to 7 hours. You have to start your journey through forests. Initially, you have to climb upwards which will take you to higher elevations. While walking in the forest you can see Rhododendron and oak trees. On the trails, you will pass numerous Magar and Gurung traditional settlements. You can have a glimpse of genuine native culture, genuine hospitality, and deep insights into the way of life of Indigenous people through these communities. After walking for several hours you will reach Ghorepani. From Ghorepani, you can enjoy the view of Annapurna South together with Machhapuchhre Hiunchuli and Tukuche Himal. On this day, you will spend the night at Ghorepani.
The hiking adventure will reach its end today. The expedition requires you to traverse a vast distance. So, get up early and begin your journey to Poon Hill. After reaching Poon Hill, you may observe the sunrise and a stunning panorama of the surrounding mountains. You will spend an hour at Poon Hill. You can enjoy a cup of coffee while watching the snow-covered ranges. After visiting Poon Hill you will come back to Ghorepani to enjoy breakfast at your teahouse. Following that, you'll begin your walk to Birethanti via the Tikedhunga walk. While trekking, you will pass through gorgeous towns and rhododendron forests. After reaching Birethanti, you can rest for half an hour before taking a local vehicle to Pokhara. Now, it will take over two hours to go to Pokhara. While going in a jeep, you will encounter a muddy and tame road with breathtaking views. Finally, you'll reach Pokhara. Now you can remain in Pokhara and explore the surrounding area.
You will start your Annapurna final day trek by traveling from Pokhara. You will board a tourist bus to travel to Kathmandu. While traveling you will follow the Marsyandi and Trishuli Rivers. While traveling you can have a glimpse of Damauli and Dummre Bazar as well as several other villages. During this trip, you will witness one of the most remarkable natural sights because you will see perfect snow peaks harmonizing with hills with terraced fields, waterfalls, and lush green valleys.
