Bhaktapur city is the smallest city located in Kathmandu valley. The majority of people in Bhaktapur are "Newar" and speak the Newari language as their mother tongue.. The charming part of Bhaktapur is having festivals and celebrations which are repeated at short intervals of time within a year. Bhaktapur is also regarded as the city of Devotees, as you can witness temples most of the time. Temples are built beautifully using a peculiar architecture with wood carving design, which represents the local culture called Pagoda Style.

Bhaktapur is renowned mainly for king Curd(JuJu Dhau), and you can enjoy it as a dessert. You must try local food such as Bara, Chatamari, Yomari and, Samye Baji set. The local food reflects the authentic taste of Newari culture. Most of the houses in Bhaktapur are made up of red bricks, and instead of cement, white lime is used with carved wooden windows, Doors, and sloppy roofs that reflect Newari architecture.
