Itinerary

When you get to Tribhuvan International Airport, a Wandering Trails representative will greet you. After that, your representative will transfer you to the hotel in the middle of the valley. You can relax in your hotel or explore the lively shopping street of Thamel after you register. This period is suitable for purchasing needed items that will be useful during the trip. In the evening, you have to visit the Wandering office. There, you will meet with your guide; he will explain the full schedule of the Everest Yoga Retreat. You can ask him any questions. After that, you will return to the hotel. Enjoy your first day as a visitor to Nepal.

Arrival at Kathmandu(1400m)

You will wake up early in the morning. Then, you will prepare for a yoga session. You will perform your morning yoga and meditation session for an hour. After completing the session, you will eat breakfast. After completing it, you will begin your journey toward the Dhap Bazaar. You will travel in a jeep. The jeep drives by the Sunkoshi River, showing spectators stunning river views. You will be able to observe Nepal's attractive rural landscapes throughout your journey. The forestland shows colorful views. You can see rice terraces and fast-moving streams. You’ll find Ghurmi Village on your journey. It’s a beautiful community set in nature. You’ll love the trip. Numerous spectacular attractions can be found throughout the entire route. The journey will end at Dhap Bazaar after a few hours of traveling. After reaching, you can enjoy the peaceful market of Dhap Bazaar. On this day, you will be staying at Dhap Bazaar.

Drive from Kathmandu to Dhap Bazaar(1400m)

Start your day with a calming yoga session. This practice blends meditation for both mental and physical refreshment. You will start your trek from Dhap Bazaar to Jhapre after having your breakfast. You will be able to observe the beautiful Numbur Himal range peaks during your walk to Sigane. You will walk on a new roadway during the initial hours of your journey. After walking for a few hours, you will reach Sigane. From Sigane, you can enjoy wonderful views of different mountains. You can rest here for some time and enjoy the snacks with a view. After walking for hours, you'll reach Jhapre. It's the first settlement on your journey. From this high mountain spot, you can see Everest and the Numbur Himal. Jhapre offers a small Buddhist monastery and a stupa. You will remain in Jhapre for an overnight rest in its quiet environment.

Trek from Dhap Bazaar to Jhapre(1400m)

Your morning begins with yoga practice in Jhapre. After this session, you'll begin your journey to Pikey Peak Base Camp. Initially, you will start your trek by climbing. While climbing, you can see the stunning visibility of Everest. You will also see different types of trees on the sides of the trail. After walking for some time, the trail will divide into two paths. From here, you will move to the right side to reach Pikey Peak Base Camp. As you move through this area, you will encounter old yak houses and a large mani-stone wall. You will now advance toward the beautiful forest area. Rhododendron trees show off their bright flowers to everyone who enters the forest. You need to walk for two more hours from the forest to reach Pikey Peak Base Camp. The trek offers everything you need for nature exploration and cultural experiences. You'll find adventure opportunities during your amazing Everest Yoga Retreat. After walking for two hours, you will reach base camp. The scenery of the base camp will amaze you. Today, you will stay at base camp.

Trek from Jhapre to Pikey Peak Base Camp(3790m)

Today, you have to wake up early in the morning to witness the sunrise. Today, you have to climb your whole trek. You can easily climb during your trek. It goes along the western mountain flank. The morning sun will reveal Thamserku Mountain extending its heights across the distance. The hike will lead you to the summit after many hours of walking. From this peak location, you can see both Everest and six other peaks that stand over 8,000 meters high. On the summit, you will stay for hours. Here, you will perform yoga practice in this serene atmosphere of tranquility. While performing yoga, you will also receive the morning sun rays on your body. After completing the session, you can capture the moment on camera. After that, you will start walking down to Base Camp. The initial path of the trek leads you through calm forests of pine trees. The air quality at this altitude gives each step a breezy and rejuvenating sensation. After reaching Base Camp, you will eat a meal and continue your trek. After a few hours of walking from base camp, you'll reach Jasmane Bhanjyang for the night. The route offers stunning mountain views. You can enjoy fresh mountain air, too. At the end of your trekking day, you will receive a hot meal before resting.

Trek from Pikey Peak Base Camp to the summit, then descend to Jasmane Bhanjyang(3549m)

Your day starts with a peaceful yoga and meditation session. You will begin your trek after yoga session concludes. You will walk through picturesque meadows while navigating through forests. After walking for a few hours, you will reach Taktor. Here, you can stop for food and relaxation. After having food, you will start your hike from the gravel road. On your journey, you can visit a Buddhist monastery. It gives off a peaceful, spiritual energy. After walking for several hours in the evening, you will reach Junbesi. When you reach the village, you’ll see rivers, monasteries, and stunning snowy peaks. After the exploration, you can relax at friendly tea houses in Junbesi. You will love this spot. It offers great views of the Himalayas.

Trek from Jasmane Bhanjyang to Junbesi(2675m)

This day will be the acclimation day of the Everest Yoga Retreat trek. You will start your day by performing yoga in the lap of nature. After completing the session, you can eat your breakfast. Then you can visit Thuptenchholing Monastery. You can also enjoy the beauty of the Junbesi landscape and extensive view. After climbing for hours, you will reach the monastery. Here, you will find peace. In the monastery, you will perform meditation and relax for hours. In this monastery, you will find welcoming female monks. You can visit the buildings to see the beautiful kitchens. Observing the daily activities of the monks is possible at this location. You can find true peace here. This spot lets you connect with spiritual energy. Visiting Junbesi lets you experience the unique Himalayan monastic culture. On this day, you will stay in the same teahouse.

Acclimatization in Junbesi(2675m)

Your morning will start with peaceful yoga exercises and meditation practice. Yoga and meditation in the morning give you a strong mental boost. This refreshment helps you feel energized for your trip. Head downhill from Junbesi. You’ll follow the Everest Yoga Retreat Trail beside the Junbesi Khola. Multiple hours of walking will lead you to the suspension bridge. From the suspension bridge, you can see the beautiful river flowing below. After crossing the bridge and moving forward, you will reach Beni Ghat. From here, you will walk on a trail with picturesque landscapes and natural areas. As you walk, enjoy the fresh mountain breeze and the calm natural views. After walking for several hours on the trail, you will reach Phaplu. Phaplu welcomes you with warm hospitality and rich Sherpa cultural traditions. The area offers authentic local dishes and beverages. The Sherpa cultural event is a fun way to celebrate local traditions.

Trek from Junbesi to Phaplu(2413m)

A nice morning yoga and meditation session can help you stretch after traveling. Next, you will have breakfast. Then, you’ll take a domestic flight from Phaplu Airport to Kathmandu. A short flight route provides you the opportunity to admire the mountain views. After landing at the Valley, the journey will end with a hotel transfer. Now, you can relax in a hotel, or you can explore the city and buy souvenirs for your friend. Later tonight, Wandering Trails will hold a special farewell dinner. This dinner is for everyone who finished the Everest Yoga Retreat. They will provide certificate and a token of achievement. Spend your last moments in Nepal while contemplating the amazing experience you had.
