Thimi Pottery Square, situated in Madhyapur Thimi in the Bhaktapur District, is a wonderful representation of the traditional Newari art of pottery-making. When you enter the pottery square and you will see that one side is full of people working on small pots, and the other side is filled with the wheels which the artisans spin and work with clay, and you will smell the scent of damp soil. You get to see different artistic materials such as bowls, cooking pots, vases, and other decorative items. Also, you can try making pottery items, they will guide you on how to spin and make shapes whatever you want.

In addition, you get to visit different cultural sites located in Thimi. You will be enchanted by the cultural beauty the city holds. You will get to gain knowledge about the lifestyle of the locals. Any season of the year, you can visit Thimi for a pottery and cultural tour.

You can enjoy especially Newari cuisines such as Bara, Chatamari.Samay Baji, Yomari,Aila and curd.

If you are planning your trip during Late March to Early September, you can have light clothes, comfortable shoes. But for the season, late September to early March, you may need warm clothes. During the rainy season, from mid-June to September, you may need raincoats and some warm clothes(not too thick). Pack your clothes accordingly.
