The Mardi Himal Base Camp Trek is good for inexperienced or experienced trekkers. Mardi Himal Base Camp is a good middle ground with an altitude of approximately 4,500m. If you are experienced or a new one, Mardi Himal Trek is not in the very peak mountains. This trek doesn’t need equipment like crampons, poles, ropes, or any other technical equipment, cause we have seen people in their 60s also getting to the Mardi Himal Base Camp and enjoying each step with fun and excitement. Anyone with good physical health, full stamina, and motivation who wants to touch the foot of the Himalayas can surely complete the standard Mardi Himal Trek. It will be best if you become more prepared for the trek by making some daily routine including some basic pre-training, and regular physical workouts like running, jogging, and stretching your body.

On the very first day, you will be picked up from Kathmandu Airport by our representative, who will take you to one of the best hotels in Kathmandu for a staycation. You will stay here a day before the trek start where you can stroll around Thamel and other popular places in Kathmandu and get ready for the trek.
On the second day of our journey, we will have breakfast in the morning and get ready to start our trek to Pokhara. We will have a comfortable ride in a Deluxe, tourist sofa Seater bus for transportation for around 6 to 8 hours from Kathmandu to Pokhara. We will reach Pokhara in the afternoon time, enjoying every moment we can catch on the way. After reaching Pokhara, our representatives will take you to the most cozy and comfortable hotel for staying where you can rest sometime. In the afternoon, you can stroll around Lakeside and enjoy the best time with nature. You can also go and visit some other nearby places to enjoy cycling, boating, and other available sharing rides. At night, you will get back to the hotel, have your dinner, and stay overnight.
On the third day of our journey, we will be ready, wrap up our stuff, and get on the bus. We will drive from Pokhara to Kande in 1 hour. There we will have our breakfast and get ready for the trek. This is the place from where we will start our trek. While we are on the way, we can see the blooming flower Rhododendron forest and oak forest on our way. While walking we will reach Australian Camp from where we can enjoy the beautiful view of Annapurna. Leaving Australian Camp we will reach Pitam Deurali where we will have our lunch. After having lunch at Pitam Deurali you will move forward enjoying the surroundings of the village where houses are made of mud and stone and the local unique traditional lifestyle. From here we will go to Forest Camp which is also known as the Low Camp area. One of the best things is we can encounter a total of 488 species of bird while going towards Forest Camp including the national bird of our country Himalayan Monal(Danphe). Our journey will take us to Forest Camp by evening where we will stay in a tea house and have our dinner. We can also enjoy a campfire with dancing, singing, and other fun activities.
In the early morning, we will have our breakfast at Forest Camp and explore the nearby places. And after having lunch we will get prepared to start our journey towards Badal Danda also known as High Camp. The trails from Forest Camp and Badal Camp are moderate because we have to walk several hours continuously enjoying the trails. It is the time when you can get altitude sickness but the breathtaking scenery of Himalayan ranges and beautiful peaks will never let you feel hard. After a walk of 5 to 7 hours which will be approximately 7 to 8 km will take you to Badal Danda. After reaching High Camp, you can enjoy the view of Mt. Machhapuchhre which is also called Fishtail Mountain, Annapurna Base Camp, and our final destination Mt. Mardi Himal. We will stay overnight at Badal Danda and stay in the tea house.
This is the day, we all have to get into our journey. On this day, we will wake up early morning and start our trek at 3:30 am as we need to catch the sunrise and golden hour in the mountains. After two and a half hours with an easy trail, we will reach Mardi Base Camp. On the way, we can experience, rocky terrain and a narrow path with ridges of the mountains. Continuing our trek after crossing the 4000m we can feel the change in altitude. After you reach Mardi Himal Base Camp, your heart and eyes will be full of excitement and joy upon completing the journey. The magnificent view of Mardi Himal and the sunrise with golden hour will make your journey one of the unforgettable views of your life. The beautiful sun rays over Annapurna's majestic peaks will make your moment more dazzling and impressive. After having the best time at Mardi Himal Base Camp, you will return to High Camp for breakfast and head towards Badal Danda. From High Camp, we will have a short and steady walk towards Badal Danda passing mountain regions behind. All those memories you created in Mardi Himal will keep making you remember your journey. After a few hours of trek, you will reach Badal Danda where you will have your night stay.
On the sixth day of our journey, we will have a good light breakfast at Badal Danda. After having breakfast, we will start our trek to get back to Pokhara on the same day. Having straightforward and sloop trek trails heading to the Mardi Khola River, we will get to Siding where we will have our lunch. After our lunch, there will be a vehicle, a jeep or bus waiting for us to take back to Pokhara where our trek ends.
We will get back to Kathmandu from Pokhara on the 7th day of the trek. We will have breakfast and leave early from Pokhara. We will reach Kathmandu after 6-7 hours of drive. You can spend the rest of the day just roaming around the city or just taking a rest in the hotel.
On the final day of our journey, you will get warm wishes and thankful messages from our team to trust and have us on your journey. The journey will end in Kathmandu, where a tourist coach will bring us back to Kathmandu on day seven where our journey ends. You will be provided a private car, bus, or van for departure from the Airport.

Yes, the Mardi Himal Base Camp Trek is restricted to visit without permission and will be considered illegal if you go without permission granted by Annapurna Conservation Area Project which will cost you NPR 3,000 for people who are not from SAARC countries and the people from SAARC countries have to pay NPR 1,000. Also, you have to pay for Trekkers Information Management System which is NPR 2,000 for people who are not from SAARC countries and the people from SAARC countries have to pay NPR 300 if you have gone through an agency. If you have gone on your own without any agency then you have to pay NRP 600.
Without the permission of CAAN (Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal), it is illegal to use drones. If you want to use then you have to take permission and fly drones following all the policies that are implemented by CAAN.
