Itinerary

On the first day of your arrival you will have a warm welcome and the respected team of Wandering Team will take you to the hotel where you will have your nightstay. You will have all the accommodation for the first day in Kathmandu. Also, if something is left to pick up for the trek then you can stroll around Kathmandu and do your shopping. You can enjoy the nightlife of Thamel and at night you will get back to the hotel for dinner and stay overnight.

Arrival at Kathmandu(1350m)

On Day 2, you will have breakfast at the hotel and then you will get ready to start your trek. On this day, you will have your journey where you will be transferred to a luxury tourist coach or a local transportation and taken to Bhotang will full comfortability and hospitality. On the way to Bhotang, you will experience the best view of Indravati River side by side along with a rough terrain express. Once you reach Melamchi Bazaar you will have your delicious lunch and after having rest for some time we will continue our journey. Today's journey may take you 6 to 7 hours to reach Bhotang town. After you reach Bhotang, you will be taken to a nearby lodge where you will stay overnight and after that, you will go and have a little walk around nearby areas for refreshment. At night, you will have a traditional Nepal cuisine with great hospitality by locals.

Drive from Kathmandu to Bhotang (1800 m / 7-8 hrs drive)

Once we have our breakfast on the third day of our journey, we will begin our trek. As of today, we will be trekking to Nosyampati which is at an elevation of 3613m where you have a different experience than today. Starting the trek, we will follow our guides and porters along the trail made up of stone. Walking on we will pass the beautiful rivers with clean water giving the fresh scent of the surrounding and lush vegetation with diverse wildlife. After having a frequent walk and rest, we will reach Nosyampati and have our stay at the homestay. As of today, we will already reach the higher elevation from where we can capture the best view of the surroundings with the great opportunity to see the mindblowing view of snow-capped mountains from the peak of Nosyampati. After strolling for some time, we will get back to our homestay at night and have our dinner.

Trek from Bhotang to Nosyampati (3621 m / 6-7 hrs trek)

Finally, the day has come we have been trekking to reach. On the fourth day of our journey, we will have breakfast as it is optional cause many believe to have religious and cultural beliefs too. We will start to trek and after having a short trek for 3 to 4 hours we will step in the Panch Pokhari. Yeah, we did it to Panch Pokhari successfully up to an elevation of 4,100m. We will spend our entire day here in Panch Pokhari exploring every corner of it capturing the picturesque moments feeling the best vibe and view of the Himalayas and the five sacred lakes of Panch Pokhari. After spending enough days at Panch Pokhari, in the evening time we will get back to Nosyampati and stay there at night.

Trek from Nosyampati to Paanch Pokhari and again back to Nosyampati (4100 m / 6-/7 hours trek)

On day 6, we will start to descend our trek from Nosyampati to Bhotang which may take us 6 to 7 hours. Slowly and Steadily, we will get back enjoying the surroundings of nearby streams, wilderness, and a trail between the lush forests and beautiful landscapes. As we have a sloppy trail it won't be that hard to get back. Once we arrive in Bhotang, we will stay on the same homestay, we stay before. We will have our room take some rest and have a beautiful night at Bhotang. The overnight stay in Bhotang will also provide us with an opportunity to explore the town and its surroundings.

Trek down from Nosyampati to Bhotang (1800 m / 6-7 hours trek

On this day, we will get back to Kathmandu on the same day from Bhotang on a drive. After having our breakfast and went back to start moving for Kathmandu. Once all done, we will get into the bus or jeep and start our drive. After reaching Melamchi Bazaar, we will have our lunch and have some rest. Then, we will drive towards Kathmandu and get to the hotel we stay before. We will have enough rest as we have traveled a lot and just finished our long journey. The overnight stay in the hotel will provide comfortable accommodation for us to rest and recover before we embark on our next adventure.

Drive back from  Bhotang to Kathmandu (7-8 hours)

Finally, our journey to Panch Pokhari ends here. Anyone who has departure flights will be dropped off at the Airport in Kathmandu and others who want to enjoy other destinations can have a brief overview of Wandering Trails and move to other destinations with us.

Another special permit is from Langtang National Park Entry Permit which is necessary for the trek to Panch Pokhari as it is managed by them and lies with Langtang National Park.

Panch Pokhari means "five lakes." It has a history of over two thousand four hundred years. According to the legend, Bumba Ruwa Waiba, the hunter, saw Lord Shiva planting paddy on a field covered in snow. Upon seeing Waiba approach, Lord Shiva, quick enough to evade the hunter, erected a temple instead. This bell from the neck of Bumba's dog is still shown to ancient visitors today.
