Overview

The Panch Pokhari trek is a sacred journey to the northern region of the Sindhupalchowk district in Nepal. The trek is named after the five sacred Hindu lakes that it leads to, which is also considered as a pilgrimage site for Buddhist followers. This trek is relatively new and unexplored, offering a pristine and untouched natural beauty to its visitors. The trek offers a chance to see the incredible natural beauty of snowy peaks, picturesque landscapes, and rich ethnic cultures of the indigenous people.

The trek begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to the village of Simpal. The road passes through picturesque landscapes of rivers, village settlements, streams, green hills, and natural beauty. From Simpal, the trek takes you to Kami Kharka, where the landscape is unspoiled and alluring, offering a fresh and untouched scenery. Along the way, you will get a chance to experience the culture of the Newari community, Brahmin, Chhetri, and the Gurung community. The major highlights of the Panch Pokhari trek include countryside forests, mid-hill terrains, glaciers, rivers, streams, stunning mountain views, valleys, and villages along the trail.

Once you reach Panch Pokhari, you will be rewarded with beautiful views of the five sacred lakes and majestic mountain views of the Gauri Shankar range, Dorje Lakla, Jugal Hima, and Rolwing Himal range. If you trek during the monsoon, you will be able to see beautiful waterfalls, ancient caves, and astonishing views of valleys and wildflowers. The Panch Pokhari trail is unspoiled and the villages along the way are not densely populated, allowing for an authentic experience of nature, culture, and climate.
