Physical demands and trek difficulty

The three-day trek from Chisapani to Nagarkot is a good walk on the hill. Since it's a short trek and you will be walking up a hill it is not very difficult. You will walk a few hours each day. Your trek might sometimes go up and sometimes down. After each day make sure you take good rest and eat good healthy food. It is also important for you to hydrate yourself.

Since it is a moderate trek you don't have to worry too much about the difficulty and fitness. But it is best if you take some time training your body with walks every day before your trek to get used to walking. Some light exercise will make your trip a lot easier.  As for the altitude sickness, it is not a big concern. Although Nagarkot is located at a higher peak than Kathmandu it is still not very high for it to be a big concern. Still, drink water and go at a slow pace at first. Once you have landed in Kathmandu, you will move towards your trek point. Your trek starts from Sundarijal. It is a town near Kathmandu. From Sundarijal, it is easier to enter the Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park. a registration is needed for you to enter this park. Right at the start of your trek, you will walk on a path with stones. You need to prepare good trekking shoes so you can walk properly. Many trekkers love the experience of routes that pass through dense forests. These dense forests give a resting space an shade while walking in the sun. As you walk towards your destination, you will come across many small waterfalls and streams. You will walk through villages and learn a lot about the lives of villagers who live here. Your walk will also take you through rhododendron forests. Make sure you carry enough water and snacks for yourself to have while walking. You will eventually rest, as it is important to avoid fatigue. After some time, you will reach the village of Mulkhara. This will be your rest stop. Here you can rest, take some time, have some food and after some time your trek will continue. Now you will walk uphill. You will reach Chisapani in the evening. Chisapani will offer you some of the best views of the Himalayan range. After the long day of walking, you check into your guesthouse and relax with some snacks and warm tea. The sunset view from Chisapani is something you should not miss out on today. Take your time, relax and maybe talk to other hikers and locals. And just like that, your first day has come to an end. Enjoy yourself with some warm Nepali food and rest well.

Arrival in Kathmandu ( 1,400 meters)

Today, your day will start early before sunrise. After having some food in your guest house you will go to watch the sunrise. You will enjoy the sunrise from a hill. Thanks to that, the view will be amazing. The trek will start from Chisapani. Today on your trek, you will walk past some forests and villages. While you walk past some villages, you will be able to see the life led by Nepali people. You will also see things such as terraced fields, farmlands, and agricultural practices. Don't miss out on any opportunity you get to interact with locals. Make sure to enjoy every moment of your trek. You also have to rest and hydrate yourself well throughout the trek. If you are interested in birdwatching and wildlife observing, then today will be a very enjoyable day for you. You will get to see many wild animals and birds flying around on your journey. This trek will provide you with a sense of calm thanks to the clean and crisp air and the warm and soothing environment of the hills and villages. As your trek goes on you will slowly start to come across Nagarkot. You will reach your destination Nagarkot in the afternoon. Nagarkot is a wonderful place that has so much to offer. From here you will see very beautiful mountain ranges. Once you reach Nagarkot you will check in at your hotel. The hotels here are comfortable and provide you with good food. You can rest for some time in your room. If you wish you can also go out and explore the place. You can also talk with other trekkers or locals. The dinner is usually served in the hotel. After enjoying your dinner you can admire the night sky and call it a day. Today you can feel the achievement of reaching Nagarkot. Trek from Chisapani to Nagarkot (2,195 meters)

Your third and last day will start early. You will wake up to watch an amazing view of the sunrise. You can enjoy the sunrise at the moment and also take pictures for you to remember whenever you wish. You will have your breakfast in the hotel. Having a warm and nice breakfast while enjoying a beautiful morning view is a pleasant moment you should enjoy. After having your breakfast you will start packing and preparing for your departure. After checking out of the hotel you can take some time to explore and look around Nagarkot. You can observe how people live here. You can visit some local shops and restaurants if you wish. After exploring you will get on a vehicle that will take you to Kathmandu city. The drive will be filled with more views of the Himalayan range. You will get to enjoy the amazing landscape again. Passing through local villages and saying goodbye to the mountains will feel like a bittersweet moment. While on the drive back you will get some time to reflect on your time here.
